Orientation question
Yes they encourage you to bring someone along. there is a lot of information and it's good to have the support from the beginning so that person understands what's going on as well !

Like the others stated you can bring along a support person with you. I just have my orientation on the 9th.
Make sure you bring a pen! Lots of people in my group were scrambling looking for something to fill out the additional paperwork at the orientation.
