Sip vs swallow

Hi guys, I have a question. I am 1days post gastric sleeve and wanted to know..... Initially, if I took a sip of any liquid I would have to sip approx 1/2 tsp otherwise it would cause pain in my stomach. Last night I forgot and took an actual swallow of my water and realized it didn't hurt at all anymore!! Does this mean I am healing? Is this a good thing? Or have I hurt my tummy somehow?!? Any replies would be appreciated :)

I think that so long as you aren't gulping or chugging, you should be fine. I was never much of a sipper, and still tended to do normal swallows after RNY. My body certainly let me know if I took too big of a swallow!

I think it's a good thing, it does show that you are healing.  It will make it much easier to get your liquid in now that you can take a swallow and not just a tiny sip!
