As long as it is not time released you are good. Our absorption is different now. Your gp should be able to prescribe for you. There is also sl melatonin that you could try. Worked for me when I was on the horrible night shift

I had tried melatonin when I was pre op and it didn't do anything for me at all. Only made me feel crappy in the morning.  Zero for the sleep.
