Vagus Nerve

Hi folks

Do you know if the vagus nerve is cut during surgery. I am having my surgery at TEGH with Dr. Aarts. Just wondering if this was routine or not. I have read about both ways with or without severing the vagus nerve.

It is the surgeon's choice. I am glad mine was cut. You could ask your surgeon if he will cut yours.
