15 months post op PAIN

I had some fairly good constipation this past week, and everything is moving now - so that's great... but I have some odd pain that I'm wondering if it could be RNY related...

Mostly when I eat, but sometimes just out of the blue, I have pain that runs down the sides of my back. It's achy, almost like a growing pain. It reaches from under my ribcage to my hips.

Anyone? I've also had some mild back pain - so maybe it just has to do with that.

(And for anyone that just reads this to see what my stats are like... 15 months out, 145lbs down. Haven't lost in about 2 months... 25lbs from goal... but I'm happy here, so I'm not pushing myself.)

I am pre-op for my RNY but I have had an ulcer and it sounds similar (back pain and constipation). Could also be a number of things like gallstones, dehydration or UTIs. I would recommend going to your doctor.

Sometimes that back/side pain can be kidney stones. It's definitely worth seeing your gp.

I hope you feel better soon! Keep us posted,

and congratulations on all your successes. :)

Sounds like possible gallbladder attacks. Do the aches last for hours when they happen?
