Got my Surgery Date!
Got the call from Megan (St. Joe's Hamilton) while on my way out for lunch.
My revision surgery is - February 28!! Going from RNY to Sleeve (then eventually DS).
I had an RNY in 2011 and lost 120 lbs., but over the past 3 years, I've gained back about 80 lbs. Spoke with Dr. Hong and he recommended a revision to a Sleeve, then later on, 'upgrading' to a DS.
I start OptiFast on Sunday.
Former RNY patient revising to Sleeve then DS.

This is great. But I'm shocked. I had no idea you could go from an RNY to a Sleeve! Is this even possible, given that you have a pouch?
