Thanks for the support! I will check out your blog.

I have only heard great things about Dr. Patterson, my sister also had RNY with her in Nov 09 and looks amazing. She is down 95 lbs last time I checked and is wearing a size 10/12. I love seeing her, great motivation!

Good luck to you!  I was banded by Dr. Patterson on July 2.  So far so good!  I did a pre op diet where I lost about 20 pounds, but my total loss now is 58.  It's a great adventure!  If you're interested, you can check out my Lap Band blog; I started documenting my adventure before surgery and I've kept it going. It's good therapy and I'm hoping others find it useful.  Best wishes to you! I think Dr. Patterson is great.  My blog is:

I just had a very good experience with Bay Bariatrics in Coos Bay. They are very sensitive to our needs, have a great staff and an easier program to follow leading up to it. I lost 35 lbs heading into surgery. They are also cheaper than Sacred Heart. Good Luck.

Good Luck, i just had mine last week. It is normal to come out of it thinking what did i just do, but in a short week i am already feeling better, off the pain meds and healing fast.

Topic: RE: Dr. Leger at Kaiser Permanente?
Hi there,  My name is Peggy.  I had my surgery done at Kaiser Sunnyside on August 22, 2006. I did not have Dr. Leger, I had David Moiel do my surgery.  I started out at 526 lbs, and currently weigh around 246.  It took me 18 months to get from orientation to the surgery..  When I 1st started out, I thought to myself this is taking forever to get from point a to point B.  I almost gave up.  I am glad that I did'nt.  I work out with a trainer 4x a week.  I still have a lot of loose skin I wish I could get rid of.  All the exercise in the world won't rid of it.  I just keep on plugging along every day.

Good luck on your journey,

Peggy

I have done 6 months of pre-surgery requirements and met with Emma Patterson last week, now just waiting for final approval for the surgery date. Getting anxious and excited!
