It a cross between a pancake and a loaf of bread made of oatmeal. I made the apple cinnamon ones for a lot of sca events and parties up on the mountain.

Another awesome day is coming up. Not only is it Imbolc, St Brigid’s Day or Candlemas, take your pick, but it is also the 10th anniversary of us having met (in person) Jenna! WOOHOO! Now I think we need a special treat to try on that day, what do you think? Butter, Milk and Bannocks are traditional. Maybe I will have to play with the recipe to see what I can come up with. How appropriate that Brigid is the Goddess of Healing and we are all getting better every day.

Well I think we had a great Yule and 12th night. We had pouch friendly cakes and alcohol free ale for circle and it tasted great. The sun is coming back and it will eventually get warmer. I cant wait to do more outside. I want to hold a circle outside again but not freeze my toes off! Already making some plans for Imbolc. Anyone in the WV panhandle area interested, would love to hear from you. Yes Jenna I know you are here. hehe!

I remember a few years back we had a yule log but instead of burning it (stupid apartment fire codes) we burned candles on it... it was so cool that i told my Todd about it and now he wants to do it here at home. Except we live in a stoopid city and don't know where to go yule log hunting...
