I think I may want to try this. I was regular for about 5 months and now all of a sudden I havent had my monthly. UUUUUGH.  So where did you find Vitex Chaseberry? How much was it? Did a Dr tell you about this? How did you know how much to take? Was that 500MG u said you take twice daily or 50mg? And how long do you take it for? Like do you take it for 6 months and if you've had regular cycles for most of them then you stop taking the Vitex to see if you are regular. I mean how long do u take this for?  Thanks!!!!! Jules

Hi Anne. I gotta say this really makes me angry for you!!!!

The Dr should not THINK you have PCOS, They should KNOW! If the doc suspects that you have PCOS then he/she should be taking the appropriate tests to find out.  Checking your testosterone, Lipid panel, and an ultrasound on your ovaries, there are so many tests.  Get these tests done my dear, just so you know.  Your weight loss will help your symptoms immensly, as will lower carb/sugar healthy choice diet.

Welcome!

Where do you get the microscope? I had the CBEFM but I ended up selling it on Ebay before I ever used it. Very expensive!

Topic: RE: confused with which surgery to go with--VSG or Lapband
 Hi Lhiannanshee,
I had surgery on the 11th.  All went well with the surgery.  I came home with the JP drain which is the most annoying thing ever to have in.  I can not wait to have it taken out.  My Dr says he sends his patients home with it.  I am having a hard time with the protein shakes--I am not liking it too much.  I got alpine punch flavor powder from gnc so i am just drinking that now.  I like the juice consistency so I am sticking to that for now.  Someone on the this site recommended syntrax lemonade flavor and I thought that would be great for me since she said it tastes like country time lemonade!!  These days I am only taking in my protein and a few sips of broth.  That's it.

I am doing OK with the pain.  I am just wondering when I can advance to eating mushy stuff or something.  I feel like I can eat anything as long as I chew it really well and I would probably only be able to eat only a small amount of it--which is what I want.

I have to go buy the sf popsicles..i don't have that..sounds yummy....

I have to go back to work tomorrow...I do not want anyone at work to know of this...I have not told anyone except my husband and sister..people are too judgemental and I just did not want to deal with it.

Hope you are doing better....

Thanks, I did go see my doctor and it was because the lasix was to much for my smaller body. So now it has been adjust to half the dose and I am doing better. My iron levels are still low so had to increase my iron intake as well. I stll have some spotting but not much at all. I had the uterus and cervix taking out. It has been one month today since my total abdominal hysterectomy. Hoping to get back to the gym soon but I have now work up to hour and half on the recumbent bike. Yesterday I even got 2 hours on it. Once the headaches and dizziness went away I was back on the bike again. So glad that is over with. Was tired of being in bed all the time. And the headaches were bad no matter what I did.

 Hi,

I had my hysterectomy 5 years ago.  They only took my uterus.  Up until this last month I had no spotting or bleeding, but was told that it was possible.  The only reason I have spotting now is because I've lost enough weight and the metformin is working.   My ovaries get cysts that come and go constantly.

Right after my surgery for about the first 3 months or so I would have dizzy spells.  My doc told me it was my body's way of adjusting to new blood levels.  Before my hysterectomy I bled heavily for 150 days straight.  I mean heavy, like going through an overnight pad and my clothes within 30 minutes of changing.  I went like that for so long that I was on the verge of dying and didn't even realize it.  So, when that much blood is gone and then your body starts producing it and holding on to it, your body has to adjust to the new levels.  Your blood pressure is adjusting too and sometimes sitting for awhile will cause the blood to pool in your lower body and make your body feel like it is lacking and then you get dizzy.

I would give your doc a call and reassure yourself that everything is okay. Remember also that you had Major surgery and even though you want to be normal again as quickly as possible your body needs to time to heal and that means at least 6 weeks of taking it easy.

Hope you feel better soon.  I know that the hyst. was the best thing I ever did besides WLS.

Toni

How did your surgery go, Emma?

I wasn't able to get any vitamins in for the first few days. I'm still eating mostly liquids and mush, and my doc said not to try pills yet til I'm on solid foods.... so I've been taking a few Flintstones chewables just because I'm so paranoid about not getting any vitamins. Once I'm on solids I'm going to try my pill form maternity vitamins again.

The best fluid for me was sugar free popsicles! Seriously, I'm addicted to them. Was the easiest liquid for me to keep down after surgery.  Milk is something I can also keep down, and has protein.
