Ideally you are supposed to get your period in 10 days, Mine always comes sooner though my doctor put me on 10 days of progesterone.

Good luck! I tried vitex before my gastric bypass. No luck in conceiving. No period either. I did have sore breasts the whole four months I was taking it! Which tells me it had some affect on my hormones.

Since surgery I have been having a period every month. (Something that has never happened before) I'm not sure if I'm ovulating, as I have yet to use any OV predictor kits. I'm really considering purchasing the Clear Blue Easy kit, but hesitant to do so because of the cost and the fact that I don't want to be disappointed if I find out I'm still not ovulating. I'm not trying to actively conceive as I'm not yet a year out from surgery. In addition I have another forty pounds to lose, but I am curious to see if my body is working correctly.  Best wishes!

Topic: RE: recently had wls and now weird cycles!
I am spotting right now as well. My cycle ended a week ago and a week later, spotting. I spoke to my nurse at my surgeon's office. She advised that fat has high levels of estrogen in it and as the body is losing fat all of the estrogen is coming into the blood system. Thus the spotting. Also it makes us very fertile. I plan to see my OB/GYN next week but I am hoping that he will confirm the same thing.....

Spotting is strange! Guess it is one of the things we have to look forward to as our bodies change.

Topic: RE: confused with which surgery to go with--VSG or Lapband
Thank you for your response ladies!!  Any helpful tips would soooooo be appreciated as I am having surgery this Thursday.  Were you able to take vitamins the first few days? weeks?  What fluids were you mostly taking in other than protein drinks? I appreciate anything you can share from your experience please.
