I'm still living with it can this can you to stop having your periods I haven't had a period sine Oct 26th,2009
Topic: Mad.
Since my surgery 2/24/09, my periods have been like clock-work. It's been coming between the 5th and the 10th of every month, and this started the month after my surgery.
Well, all of a sudden at almost 11 months out, my period is late.
I'm not pregnant - the DH made me take a pregnancy test yesterday, and the chances of me getting pregnant since my last cyst took most of my left ovary is slim to none.
I hope I'm not doing something wrong here as far as my diet and exercise goes.
I hate this. After having horrible periods since I was 9, I was hoping they'd finally regulated themselves.

Topic: RE: Could it really be?
Thank you! I did fertility for 6 months and no pregnancy out of it. I don't have any children yet. But I really hope that I will be able to get pregnant easily now (when I'm ready to try). I hope I'm fertile myrtle! LOL

After surgery my period came every month mostly regular for the first time in my life. Nothing like puberty at 30. AF is tapering again now that I am 20 months out, but.... You may not have any issues getting pregnant now. They say that is the case for a lot of people. I am finished haven babies, but had to do fertility to get both our kids. Wonder if I would have to now, but no more kids. LOL Best of luck to you. I hope that your body is fineally doing what is should and you can get a baby on your own if you choose to have another one. Best of luck to you.
Topic: A bit freaked out.
So, I am 20 months post of of rouny surgery. I was 275 lbs when had surgery. Down to 138 until last 6 weeks. I am now 143. I have not been this since I got under my goal weight last year. Here is the thing. I have/had PCOS and am worried the symptoms are coming back. Am I gaining all the sudden cause my body is going back into PCOS mode. I gained so much weight before I was diagnosed before. I am freaking thinking maybe its happening again. I am watching my intake and trying to make since of it all. I have not gained nothing more than a lbs or two in about a year. And that was usually gone in a couple days.

Topic: RE: increased symptoms after wls?
Hi Suzanne,
For the last 31/2 years I have been on several differnt types of birthcontril pills
due to heavy periods which started a month before my wedding Ugghh. It took
from March until November until I saw a steady regulation of my period. I think
every woman's body handles the birthcontrol differently. Last Feb. my gyn
decided that my blood pressure was to high so she put me on the Mirena.
Have you tried getting the birth control shot? That might help control it for 3 months ?
Talk to your GYN and let her know your frustrations. I don't feel the gyn fully
undertsands it unless they have had to go through this themselves.
I hope you get some relief soon.

Topic: Anyone had ovaries removed after WLS and gained weight?
Hello everyone. I had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. Within the last year, I've been having major pain in my female area and lower back. My GYN suspects endometriosis or scar tissue on my ovaries and has scheduled me for a diagnostic scope and removal of my ovaries.
I'm really scared. I know that it will completely put me into menopause.
I'm really worried about weight gain. Is there anyone who had surgery to remove ovaries and experienced weight gain?
I had weight loss surgery almost three years ago and worked really hard to get the weight off and I don't want to gain it back.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks bunches.
