Anyone here ever tried the holistic approach to cure them?

My sister had her removed about 6 or 7 years ago, it was painful and it was almost 4" in diameter, it took her about 6 weeks to totally recover.

Hope that helps.

I've had my IUD for 9.5 yrs.  If I can remember correctly, I had cramping for several days after it was placed.

It has been the only thing that worked for me in preventing pregnancy.  My cycles were so messed up w/pcos that when I was on the pill, I ended up getting pregnant.  Go figure.

Your are right...... I was regular before I had RNY, 10/28/08.... then I have been fighting to get one ever since. I have lost anyweight really for almost 3 months. When I dont have a period, I gain a few pounds or  not lose anything. I HATE PCOS!

The DS corrects the insulin resistance issue and there is a metabolic component built in to the surgery which is key since we with PCOS often suffer from slow metabolisms as well.  I was insuline resistant pre-surgery.  I am not now.

I am losing slower than some other people (2-3lbs per week) but it's been very consistent and I have yet to stall (knock on wood).

I was also diagnosed over 20 years ago.  For the first time in my life I'm not on the pill and am having periods on my own.  I had surgery 3 months ago.

Can you be a little more specific about what went away and what returned?

As a cancer survivor, I don't think any measures that keep you healthy and make you feel secure are too drastic! I'm glad you found someone who would listen and agree with you!

I think the WLS adds to it. Just because your hormones get so out of whack with the weightloss. So it comes hand and hand. I had a period a week before my surgery and then I had another the week after. I think it was just the start of the whackyness. I think it should get better for you once your body starts to stablize itself. Don't get frustrated though just take it one day at a time.

Thanks for everyone answering. I do have a period off and on. But never know when it's going to happen. But right after surgery I did have one and it was pretty "normal", but I haven't had one since. But I have been cramping and hurting some. I was just curious to see if anyone else had this. So thanks and I just wish the WLS would've solved this. I guess I will see what happens I have an appt with my OBGYN next month.
