Has any on had a Vena Cava filter?

Hi Everyone, Has anyone had the Vena Cava blood filter implanted? Dr Roye said that he wants to implant one in me and then remove it 2 weeks later. My blood testing showed by blood has a tendency to clot more than most. Thanks in advance, Paula
