I am looking for any and all pre-op advice. I have surgery date set for Aug. 8. And I have to buy supplements and any other supplies I will need following surgery. Please advice me. Especially on anything in particular you liked. I don't do well with my vitamins as it is. They make me naseous. So I am worried about the supplements. Please give me some advice. I need your help. I would also appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks in advance.

What you like pre-op you may not like post-op... its hard to buy stuff before hand before you taste changes! I would just get the smallest possible of supplements so you can try them post op... if you get naseous you may want to look for liquid supplements. All surgeons/NUTs differ on what you are suppose to take so wed need to know what they told you to take then could give suggestions on what brands we use.

RNY on 11/15/05 with
Gennie; It doesn't matter what I liked post-op. We're all different and our tastes change during the process. Unfortunately, it's trial and error the first 3 months or so post-op to find the right things that work for you. Read lots of profiles. It will give you good expectations for post-op. Prayers for a complication-free procedure and speedy recovery. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 159 / 137

Hey everyone! My sugery is scheduled for 7/24!! I purchased Centrum childrens chewables (u only have to take one a day instead of using flintstones twice a day) they have EVERYTHING you need (according to my Nutritionist (Duke WLS, NC) and it's only once a day. They do have the adult chewables that are orange flavor but I havent tried those yet...I'm still trying to locate the calcium citrate chewables for my 3 week post-op...any suggestions?
