Medic Alert Bracelets
My Surgical Office gave me a card that has my Dr. name and number and explains that I have had surgery that limits the amount of food I can eat and to please make children's menu available. On the other side it has "Danger! The bearer has had stomach surgery. Nasogastric tubes may perforate the stomach. Call ## for further instructions and information." Ask your office if they have a card like this or can have one created for their patients. Best of Luck,
honestly, if there was a way to do it (where i didn't have to worry about stretching/un-read-ability, i'd be interested in getting like a little "medical alert" tag tattooed on me, like somewhere that the medics would see in the process of getting me hooked up or whatever, but not something obvious/obnoxious.

I got my Medical ID bracelet from LaurensHope.com. They have a nice variety that are interchangeable. I have a silver and multi color crystal one and a mood bead one. I get loads of compliments on the multi color crystal one where I work. The nurses are surprised to see its medical id.
with Lauren's hope site you have 5 lines to add things. Here is what I put on mine:
Name, DOB (date of birth),
RNY gastric bypass, date of surgery,
no Blind NGT, no sugar, no Nsaids.
I forgot to add my greenfield filter and heart murmer so I do need that updated.
