a strange wow moment

One memory of my grandfather is that he was always had a slender build (being a farmer and going through the depression and all). When he passed back in '95 he had left a belt that my father held on to all these years. He had never been able to wear the belt because that it was a little small for him. My father stills weigh a little less that I do and is a little taller. Last night I tried it on and it fit just fine. I guess that i  have turned some fo the fat into mussle(sp?). I know other people see the change of how I look but my self image isn't there yet, I see it in the clothes that I need to throw out. I am six months out and only 80# down but what a wild ride thats its been and will be. Brian

Skinny as your dear old grandaddy? What a fitting time to discover that the belt fits....right on Father's Day.  We've all probably got some tangible marker in our brains that for us will be the "proof" that we really honest to goodness have lost all our weight.

I don't know why but that is a very touching story to me. I'm glad that it fit you - I bet that made you feel fantastic!  And please don't ever say you've only lost 80 pounds - THAT IS HUGE! Congrats on all the hard work you've done for you - you have come a very far way my friend! Keep it up Brian - and keep coming and posting - we need more men around here! Jen
