My First Year Anniversary

Life has been so busy since I had my WLS that I've just realised that its been a year since I had that amazing life-altering op and man have I been a changed woman.  I now am a lot more active and will give new things a try rather than lurk in the background.  I've taken up Salsa dancing, Street dance and am starting kick-boxing this week.  Love to ride my bike now and walk so much more than I ever used to. For those seriously thinking about WLS just think carefully about where your life is going and if that is what you want.  For me I needed to sort out medical probs and tackle this weight issue.  I've been lucky enough not to ensue any post op problems and long may it continue that way. Wow! Not only do you look fit, but you look about 20 years younger. I wouldn't have recognized you either. Congratulations on your success and the ways your life has been enhanced.

I have to share this with you.   While I was looking at the pics posted on your profile, my 8 year-old niece walked in the room and said, "she's so pretty" and "i love her hair"!  Now, you know kids tell it like it really is, right?  So there it is!! Hey surgery twin!!! My date is the same as yours. I absolutely agree this is and was the best thing to happen in my life in a long time. It has totally changed me in every aspect!! I exercise everyday but Sunday!!! I LOVE MY NEW LIFE AND HAVE VOWED NEVER TO RETURN TO MY OLD LIFE!!! I am so very proud of you you have accomplished so much in only a year!!!!
