vaginal odor
i had the vaginal odor before surgery, i got tested and everything obgyn and pcp both said i was ok. now since surgery i have been able to maintain it. Not sure if it were because of the antibiotics i was on or what. But one thing for sure my surgeon after surgery gave me diflucan because i got a yeast infection that will occur in some women from taking different antibiotics. So you may want to ask your surgeon about that.
Right after surgery I noticed my "scent" was not the healthy one it usually was. I attributed it to chemicals leaving my body. Certain foods (salmon, aspragus) and medicines will mess with your scent too.
But- it does ease up. I don't have the issue anymore and I am 2 months out, appx. Waste leaves your body in multiple ways- things are thrown off balance (your pH levels) -- not to mention the hormonal effect - I have pulled a whisker or 2 from my chin and I am only 31.

I had the same thing after surgery though I can't remember how long............I had a hysterectomy some years before WLS but the odor was almost, though not half as strong, as being on my period. My daughter had surgery at the same time as I did and she said that she never experienced it.. I subscribe to the hormones released during the first few months of dramatic weight loss theory. My WLSurgeon said that he has never heard anyone say anything about the smell before. I wonder if he still holds to that.......................
