Daily Rant - Thursday Edition
People at work assume I can do everything, and that I want to.
While it's very flattering it's also very annoying, and I wish they would stop volunteering me to do things all over the flippin hospital. I'd like to stay in my office alone all day and get paid for doing nothing thank you very much.
Is that too much to ask????

 Insurance companies!!!!!
I received a letter from my insurance company that said  "you have to comply with a medically supervised wt loss program for at least 6 months with documentation of compliance and without weight loss". wth???
So what am I supposed to do????????  Be compliant and lose wt and be denied cause I can lose weight or not lose wt and look like I'm not compliant   ACK!!!!!!!!
I will try to be compliant and lose about 25 lbs cause it'll be better for my body during surgery but they really don't make it easy for us, do they?
sometimes I think they make it so difficult because they're just hoping you'll give up and go away and leave them alone.... LOL
Hang in there!

Welcome to the unsuccessful dieters club!!!
My insurance required the exact same thing.... 6 mos of medically supervised "unsuccessful" dieting.   And when I called to ask them to specify what they meant by "unsuccessful", no one could tell me! They didn't know! GRRRR!!! STUPID INSURANCE COMPANIES!!!!
And when I called to ask them to specify what they meant by "unsuccessful", no one could tell me! They didn't know! GRRRR!!! STUPID INSURANCE COMPANIES!!!!   So, I saw my PCP monthly who documented with clinical notes my frustration at not being able to lose weight, as well as our discussions of nutrition and exercise.  I also joined Weigh****chers and went to the weekly weigh-ins so that my membership booklet would be stamped showing my "lack" of weight loss.  I just focused on maintaining my weight, give or take 5 lbs during that time.  After 6 mos, I sent all my clinical notes and my WW booklet to my insurance company as proof that I wasn't successful.
It worked!  So hang in there.  The 6 mos SUCKS, but you can use the time to your advantage by at least starting an exercise routine and a vitamin plan, and researching all you can about WLS.

Painful poops!!!! Owowowowowow!  For the past three days, anytime I poop, my guts feel like they're being ripped out, not in a constipation kind of way... more like serious nausea, dry heaves and cramps.  SO MUCH FUN!
