OT: what is 700 billion divided by 200 million americans?

I agree that they are RUSHING to come up with A VERSION of THE PLAN that the Secretary of the Treasury (and, for some inexplicable reason, the President) wants.  Why the $%#^ should we let the same people who got us INTO this mess decide how (and administer the FUNDS... OUR FUNDS!)  to get us OUT of the mess?!?!?  Why the hell should we trust them?!? 

There is plenty of blame to go around for both Democrats and Republicans in this mess (Democrats for insisting that every American should qualify for a mortgage no matter what their financial condition (and forcing the banks to make those loans), and insisting that Fannie and Freddie were NOT in trouble and were NOT cooking the books when clearly they were; Republicans for not wanting to add any additional oversight to the SEC and for going along with this mark to market accounting crap), and -- to be fair -- both sides did TRY to issue various warnings at various times (only to be ignored by the other side of the aisle... again, blame for BOTH parties) during the past 5 or 6 years. 

I think we should throw almost every %@#$!* member of the House of Representatives (and the Senate when they are up for reelection) out and START OVER with a Congress that is more concerned about doing their jobs than partisan bickering.
