HELLO your totally norma! you know it, I know it. We are food lovers till the end.  Weightloss surgery may change is physically, but doesn't always changes us mentally. I LOVE LOVE food, I love to cook. I loved going to the Garlic Festival, Mushroom Festival, Calamari Festival, Clam Chowder Cook offs. And you know what! I still do.  BUT I have a taste of this and a taste of that. Just a taste! I forbid myself to have those cravings. If i have the craving I will lick a spoon dipped in clam chowder if i have to or a whole spoon full. Just to get it out of me.  I watch chooking shows all the time. I always have. But I now what runs through my mind is "hum how can I have that and healthy it up" maybe cook it with whole wheat flour. Or maybe substitute splenda for sugar in it. Maybe turkey instead of beef or pork. So i try to make it a fun challange so I can have a bit of it, but a healthier version.

Ok ew now I sound like you trying to make me feel better when I give you my pathetic whoa is me stories. LOL There is nothing wrong with watching those shows and you can't help think things look good, when heck ya they probably are, but not healthy LMAO

I was obsessed with food right before and right after my surgery.  I must have collected a thousand different recipes.  I made grocery lists every day of what I would eat when I could eat again.  It gets better once you can start eating more normally again.
