HELP!!!!! Boob problem
Okay, about month 3 after surgery, I kept getting raw patches under my breasts. Wet patches, and my skin would just literally rub off. Got a new bra, tried my best to keep things dry and clean, and that worked.
Now, (almost 6 months out) under both of my (insanely saggy) breasts, I have dry skin patches. I'm not talking lotion-em-up and go with it patches. I think an alligator is secretly living under my breasts. They itch like hell, and to be honest, it's disgusting.
Is this some sort of medical (i.e. go to the doctor) thing? Or is it just one of those sagging skin post-wls things? It's not raw, red, wet, oozing, or any of those fun things. Just thick and dry...under both breasts...all the way across.
Any suggestions? Should I be concerned?

I can only speak from a theoretical point of veiw, as I have no boobs of my own
*not really crying, just being silly, am pretty happy without them*
I'd check with your doc to find out if you are fighting a fungus (my guess) or a bacterial infection.
That would affect what treatment you use.
The advise you got about changing your bra daily? Spot on!
Another idea, have your doc document the condition with pics to use as justificaton for plastics.
It's never a bad idea to think ahead.

Before surgery - i got that. i started using anti-fungal cream- then talked to the doc - and it was yeast infection. To avoid that - i was - am taking anti yeast medication - diflucan. No w- I probably take a dosage (2 pills - 3 days apart) every 2-3 months. Just in case. Right after surgery - I was taking that probably 2-3 dosages first few months and then 1 x month.
We were subjected to antibiotics during surgery (- or in my cases - surgeries - 3 in one year, one so far this year). add hanging skin, heat and moisture, change in acidity of our skin - due to diet - diet that is not helping the "good bacteria" in out gut - and I had all the symptoms of systematic candida (google that)
One of symptoms of candida is sugar cravings - so when I see and feel that I need -want-have to have- more and more carbs - I do the treatment - and limit carbs, increase supplementing with proboiotics (good bacteria) and the symptoms go away. I do not try to advertise drug using (diflucan - doctor prescribed) nor i suggest you or anyone does that - but I discovered what works for me and I ma simply sharing.
The topical cream will work on a surface but they will do very little to eliminate the yeast infection in the body - that is why it is coming back and back, and it then goes to our toenails, etc.
