And whilst I'm a'posting...what I love about this board
is that folks feel as comfortable posting here as pre-ops as they do as post-ops. I just started paying attention to people's surgery dates in posts and some folks I swore were post-op are actually pre-op.
I am glad everyone is here and that pre-op and post-op alike feels comfortable posting here.

Posting became like a physical need when I was pre op.
I've been around OH for years and never bothered with the boards. Once I got my surgery date, posting helped me stay sane waiting for my turn to come.
It became a place to channel that nervous exitement. It also helped me avoid snacking during my pre op diet.

Nik I have to give you guys credit for making the newbies more comfortable. When I first started here and for a while after, I remember many a post saying "Where do these newbies get off giving advice?!?!"
Well, hate to say, but some of these pre-ops have done a hell of alot more homework than some of the people I see post-op 6 months out.
And kudos to you guys *****search and want to know what's being done to your body and how YOU can make the most of it.

I don't think that I would have been as successful as I have been without this board. I started reading every post as a pre-op and still read every post as a post op and at goal. I don't post that often but really gain a lot of knowledge and strength from the information and emotions that are here. KUMBAYA
