Did you eat dinner? What was it?

Like 3 cups worth of salad and 8 oz by weight?

I always know the weight because of the cost.  But I finally took it home over the weekend and checked the volume, 3 cups.

My nut is so flakey...she never heard of someone eating so much so didn't know what to tell me.

Yep, 3 cups of salad with protein on it.  I eat this salmon salad with goat cheese once/week at my hubby and I's fav restaurant.  I can almost finish the whole thing, less about 3 oz of a 5 oz salmon.

Do you find that you can eat more now that you are further post-op?  Or are the volumes I eat now (8 months post-op) the volumes I should stick with for life?

I always put chicken on my salad for protein.  And full-fat cheese, strictly for calories.  Could care less about the cheese taste, but I need the cals.

Oh yeah, I noticed around month 7 I could eat more...and then month 10 more again.  Actually our pouch reaches its maturity at around 12-18 mo.  So I hope it stretches a bit more, because people say an average pouch should hold 8 oz of DENSE food. Im not even close.

I can also eat a big salad. Last night, this is the one I had:
- about a cup of mixed field greens
- an ounce of feta cheese crumbled over the greens
- small handful of shredded carrots
- 6 or 7 Just the Cheese rounds, broken up into small pieces
- tablespoon each of crushed walnuts, dried craisins, parmasean cheese
- an ounce or two of chicken breast
- 5 or 6 cut up sugar snap peas
- 2 tablespoons of FF rasberry vinagrette dressing

I was full and completely satisfied afterward. I sometimes will add a few cut up strawberries or apple pieces to a salad like this, but I had enough last night without it.  : )

Even at three months out, I can put away a lot of salad. It's my go-to meal when I'm out with people who don't know I've had surgery (and I don't care to inform) because I can have the appearance of eating a normal amount!

1 week and 1 day postop

I had a yummy serving of instant mashed potatoes (on the runny side) with real butter, salt and pepper.  It was delicious!

I sauteed some ground chicken breast in olive oil, and added mushrooms and yellow squash...

meh.

It's food.  It's protein.

I went out to eat with a friend.  I had about 2 oz of salmon, 3 bites of steamed carrots and one cauliflower florette.  Of course, it wasn't pureed, but I chewed...and chewed....and chewed and no adverse affects!

I now have some yummy leftover salmon for tomorrow.
