What does an ulcer feel like?

I have been having issues and wondered if I should be concerned.  Can anyone tell me what an ulcer feels like?

So no different because of the RNY?  I had looked it up on the website and tried to find some postings on here (the search function comes up with all kinds of unrelated things...).

I assume symptoms for an ulcer would be the same with or without WLS.  If you really believe you're having medical issues you need to call your surgeon or PCP to be checked out.

I just cross posted to you on that other thread. Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't feel right if I drink coffee, and I will have a cup when traveling as a treat, but it makes something ache in there that doesn't happen when I don't drink it. It tore up my stomach (that and diet coke) pre-surgery that I kept it to minimums and was SO much better, then quit all together preparing for surgery. Hope you find out what is bothering you.

Thanks, I read your other post too. And like I said I have given it some thought (sad thought...LOL).  I would be curious to know if it's the caffeine or the actual acidity of the coffee.  It seems as though decaf would be bad too.
