I am 3 weeks post op.  I have only lost 1 pound in the last 2 weeks....Has anyone else done this?  The whole situation is making me uneasy...

Just hold tight, all of a sudden you'll get on that scale and it will drop four or five pounds overnight. It's bizarre how it works.  Kepp your chin up, it happens to a lot of us.

20 pounds lost during two week pre-op diet.

Oh how I love thee!!

I was so happy to read the response to this post.. I am 3 weeks post op and feeling the same way, like why isn't this scale moving.. I also want to destroy it j/k.. I knew it was a bad idea to buy one because I am on it every morning (killing myself softly lol!!).. but I am glad to hear from experience that sometimes it haults then one day you see the difference..

I was thinking I failed because I'm having such a hard time getting all my protein in and the way I  understand it ( which may not be correct) that is the factor in losing the weight?

Respectfully,
La'Toya

I agree.  I know I am not eating too much.  I am adding more liquids today. I don't know what else it could be.  I called the sugeons office and she just said give it time and that I was loosing inches.  I wanna loose pounds! That is why I did this! I am just frustrated and feeling like I will now be the one person that has the surgery and nothing changes....

We had surgery on the same day and I SO feel your pain.  I have lost 1 stinkin' pound in almost 2 weeks.  I know I'm doing everything I need to be doing, so I am not going to let it get me down.  My clothes are definitely bigger and I'm focusing on that.  Keep your chin up and just do what you know you need to do.  The rest will come.  Feel free to vent to me any time you don't see those numbers going down.  I really do know how frustrating it is!

I can relate to the panic.  I am almost 7 weeks out and stalled for about  a week and a half during week 4.  I was very nervous about it too, as I didn't lose anything during that time,  but the pounds have started coming off again and yes, inches are important because as you lose, your clothes don't lie!

I am wearing a skirt I haven't been able to fit into for 3 years!  It was a favorite of mine and I put it on the other day....so trust it will happen for you very soon!

Hang in there and if you arent sure about your protein or food intake, track it on a place like Spark People or here on this site, that way you can make sure you are taking in the right amount.

Good luck to you!  I know we will all make it through this and you will NOT be one of those people for whom it doesn't work.  Visualize yourself thin, put up positive thoughts, make skinny plans and don't dwell on anything negative as it will stress you out!  It will happen.....you will see!
