What are EAS Advantedge Carb Control RTDs?

RTD = Ready to Drink.  Basically pre-made protein shakes sold in tetra packs (very similar to the Atkins stuff).  You can get them at most grocery stores or drug stores.  EAS makes two types that I use - the EAS Carb Control and the EAS Myoplex Carb control.  The Myoplex has more protein and consequently, more calories.  They also sell Myoplex non-carb control, so look at the labels carefully.

I pretty much use these all the time now.  They generally have more protein for fewer calories than the Atkins shakes, and don't taste at all offensive.  I'm not big on cooking/experimenting and get most of my protein from food... but these boost it up to be sure I make the target.

I get mine at wal mart and they don't have to be refridgerated so they are great to have for "emergencies" and they only have like a hundred calories.

Our usual Thursday evening plans will apply tomorrow. We will have dinner out and then do our weekly grocery shopping. I always look forward to getting out of the house when I've been stuck in here for a few days. Food wont be all great choices tomorrow as dinner out will have to be cheap. We are budgeting in an extra dinner out on Friday night as we will be going to my surgeon's support group meeting two hours away.We also have a nice dinner at Logan's Roadhouse when we make this trip once a month.

Probably, my food will go like this:

Breakfast: Carbmaster Blackberry Yogurt
Nectar Protein Shake
Lunch: Tuna and egg salad with relish and light mayo
Snack: Maybe a laughing cow cheese wedge and a couple of Triscuits
Dinner: Probably the meat and cheese from a bacon cheeseburger, or a cup of chili

That's about it for me.

I hope life gets better for you Shari - thinking 'bout ya!

I finally was able to make it through a day w/o losing control.  I hate it when I have a series of bad habit days - makes me panic that I won't be able to pull it back together, ya know?  sheesh!

Didn't exercise this morning though - sooooo tired.  But, I'll live and will trudge through 'til tomorrow.  I'm ok w/it as long as the food stays under control.

here's what it is today...

B - 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese
S - 0% fage w/fiber one
L - 3 turkey meatballs, fresh veggies w/Ranch & fage dip
S - peanut butter cookie protein ice cream
D - peanut butter frosty delight
S - maybe - if i'm hungry after "curriculum night" at my daughter's school - chocolite bar

S: string cheese
S: 1/2 sliced apple w/1tbsp almond butter
L: 1/2 c. cottage cheese
