Too Many Calories?
I've been wondering if I was eating too many calories this early out. I haven't been tracking because I figured that I was not eating anything "bad" and that I was allowed 1/2 cup meals/snacks at this point, I didn't think it was possible. Now I am wondering if maybe I should have been tracking all along. Maybe my snacks need to be smaller.
My snacks and meals have basically been pretty interchangeable. Should I be having smaller snacks or do you think all 6 meals can be similar? I was only told to watch my protein grams not my calorie intake. I became concerned because I feel my weight loss is going slow. I know it takes time and I need to be patient. I just had higher expectations is all.
I'm going to start tracking either way starting today but I just wanted some input.

HI Jennifer,
My RNY was on Aug 3rd and I have lost 21# since that day. I also lost 14# on my pre-op diet. I feel that my lose has been slow also, esp. since the last 2 weeks I have lost ~2# each week. I am getting an average of 700 calories and 65-75g of protein a day. My carbs are about 30% of my overall diet. Maybe that is to high. I asked my nut what it should be. All she said was, " it doesn't matter sinc ethe amount of food you are taking in is so small." All she did was read the printout to me and then didn't answer the question I did have. I guess we need to be patient!
