What are you eating/doing today? Friday!
Ok, so it’s Friday! Yay! Raining. Boo! One good thing about this weather though is that I can turn on my oven and not be in hell, so I’m using the opportunity to make myself another batch of wasabi roasted peas! These things are seriously addictive and I love them. I may also roast some chickpeas as well. Protein, protein, protein!
Today I have a bold lunch. Bold because Nik is going somewhere she’s never gone before as a post-op. Today…I have…a sandwich. On bread. The reason? A good one. Wait for it…wait for it…
Because I wanted a sandwich.
Actually it’s half a sandwich. Even the wonder pouch could not take on a whole sandwich, rest assured. I “sandwiched" my sandwich in solid protein meals but I honestly don’t think the carb hit will be much different than my regular choices. Just less fiber. I’ll add some benefiber to my drinks today and it should be all good.
Eats:
Pre-B: PB nosh (and I was doing so good!)
B: Mint Mocha Click Frapp
L: ½ pastrami & cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mustard on whole wheat, 1 oz. Kay’s natural crispy parmesan chips
S: ¾ greek yogurt w/ splenda
D: I am in a Mexican mood lately! I think I’m gonna marinate some chicken in greek yogurt and taco seasoning for about an hour, grill it (on the Foreman grill) and serve it as a sandwich to the divas and for me it will go atop a salad.
LNS: Peppermint Paddy frozen hot chocolate (protein hot chocolate this time tho) w/ 2 tbsp whippage

Here's my plan for today:

B2: hard boilded egg, 1/2 c grapes, cheese stick

D: Panko baked Tilapia and crowder peas
S: Power Crunch bar
1603 cal, 63 fat, 132 carb, 128 Protein
Hope that today is smoother sailing in the office than yesterday. Plan to just relax a little this weekend. Only thing planned is having a new dishwasher installed, my old one broke about 3 weeks ago and I sure did miss it.
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

No rain here. It's supposed to get into the 100's. Yikes. This is why I do my walking so damn early in the morning. I went walking at 4 AM this morning, but I was so tuckered out I had to cut out early - I only got in about 35 minutes. I have an appointment at a gym with locations both where I work and near my home (I work 35 miles away from home home) to see if I can afford to join. I hope it works out. (No pun intended -

Eats:
B: Isopure Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla Protein Shake with FF Lactaid Milk
S: Click (I'm lactose intolerant - and this is the only protein powder that is not lactose free that doesn't seem to bother my tummy. It's also yummy - bonus!)
L: Tuna w/ lite mayo - 3 oz
Dinner: Probably poached fish (tillapia or snapper)
Desert: SF Popsicles!!!!!
1) 1 piece of nature's own wheat bread w/ natural pb & sf preserves.
2) click
3) Lunch (Idk, it's payday)
4) maybe protein tea, depends on lunch
5) dinner will be out, so idk about that either, but I'm going to probably have a salad.
6) smoothie. gonna try an orange dreamcicle of some kind. (anybody got a recipe?)
That's my day. Hoping my back feels better. Going to keep up the calories this weekend and hope that monday the scales will have moved down.
Have a great weekend!
