Need to stop losing.... NOW.

 I joined a gym to start gaining muscle. I work out 3-4x a week and love the weights. I feel like Im eating all.the.time... so how the hell is it that Im still losing weight? in the past month Ive lost another 4 pounds and am at the bottom of my weight for height bracket ( 150-175 ) at 151.5 . My Dr doesnt want me to go below 150 and said to start drinking some with my meals so I can get in more food ( protein he says ) and Im trying like hell, but it doesnt seem to be working :( my mom says Im looking willowy, and at time I think 'crack *****' fits if something is too tight and my ribs show in the front. I wear a small top(4/6) and medium bottoms ( 8/9) and havent been this weight since my freshman year in highschool. I know I look good, but Im on the edge of looking unhealthy, I know it. 

Any ideas? more peanut butter? fat? Im still trying to meet my requirements each day because I dump so easily ( 18g is my threshold for just about everything but calories )

Drinking with you meals is supposed to help...increase some "naughty" calories too.

That's the first thing my doc suggested when I needed to gain weight...and let's see, it's been an entire 1 1/2 yrs that I have been drinking with my meals...still no big gain for me ~ but hey, perhaps it will work for you!

Ive been trying, I love being able to drink wine, thought that would really help, I think thats what initially slowed it all down. Maybe I should move to liquor? ;) I just got some yummy vodka, I just have to watch what I mix it with b/c of sugars and all. UGH.

Mix it with Click and have a "clickatini" it's on their website. It's quite yummy!  But seriously, more nuts? they are pretty high calorie, but high fat too... gee don't know.

As far as mixer for vodka, try diet cranberry from ocean spray only five calories though...

Seems I only have suggestions for the alcohol portion of this segment.  Good luck!  Hope you figure it out soon.

I used to, but it was just exhaustive. My caloric intake would probably be 800 on a good day. I was doing alot of protein, but I was starting to feel uber crappy , my nut told me I wasnt eating enough carbs, so Ive been trying to up those too 100... thats damn near impossible since I can only eat about 17 at a time.

Well there you have it.  That's your answer.  You can't survive and be healthy on 800 calories a day.  Especially when you are wanting to stop losing.  Until you get your calorie intake UP to the same level as your calorie burn, you'll continue to lose weight.

Use this calculator to figure out a rough estimate of your RMR and daily calorie needs.
http://www.phord.com/cc/  (It's the best one I've ever found online and worse most accurately when you fill in as much information as you have -- including waist size and body fat percentage)  If you can have your RMR tested offiically, all the better.  If you can get your hands on a GoWearFit and wear it for a few weeks to get a sense of your daily calorie burn, even better.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you need to be eating around 1800-2000 calories a day to maintain.  Might even be as high as 2400.  (Crystal eats around 2400 to maintain, I believe.)  So until you are up in this higher range, nothing is going to work to stop the scale.

What Pam said - i am maintaining on 1400-2000 cal per day with limited exercise (I do not want to lose more - so until I can safely eat or absorb more - my routine is light exercise only).

800 cal per day + exercise?  that would kill me.          lol

We sound like we're in the same boat Bonnie. You must be very tall. I too wear a small top and medium bottoms so our measurements must be the same or damn close to it. I'm 5'8" and weigh 145 on a good day. The doctor doesn't want me to lose anymore even though I'm in the middle of my weight bracket for my height because I have a large frame. My chest looks like Skeletor and my thighs are non existant. My hair is also looking more unhealthy than it did before. My latest thing to "equalize" things is chips ahoy and peanut butter. Will let you know how it works! I don't want to lose any or gain any. I'd like to stay here but gain some muscle in exchange for all this mushy skin :p
