korean food
I am half korean and pre-surgery, I usually ate korean food 75% of the time. After surgery, I couldn't really figure out a good korean food to puree, so I only ate the easy American type things, like everyone else. But, I suppose if you wanted, you could puree any of the korean soups/stews, but to me, that would be weird. But, maybe they would taste good...
Now that I'm on soft foods, I have been able to start eating some korean foods again... thank goodness ;)

One of my favorite places to eat is Pei Wei!!! It is an Asian diner! I am so sad to think I may not be able to eat there again. They have chicken but it all seems so sweet and the thought of it pureed is gross. I wish I could suggest something for you but I am not sure about Korean food. Just stick with protein and mince it good.
you might be able to eat the filling of the mandoo. it may be soft enough to not be pureed but i'm not sure of the nutritional value. kimchee soup might be good if you only eat the tofu and broth but that will really depend on how well you can deal with spicy food. bi bim bap might be good if the restaurant serves it hot and more soup like. you will probably have to ditch the rice or noodles. seaweed soup is a safe bet, it's broth and seaweed and usually served as an appetizer.
i have to stop now because i'm REALLY starting to crave some meat-jun
. i hope this helps your meal choice.

I second the mandoo filling..maybe one or two. Any of the soups you can pick through the ingredients and have the broth. Chicken bulgogi or very small amounts of beef bulgogi or pork. Stay away from the rice for sure...probably woudn't order the bibimbap..unless you want to just try the veggies in it...but it's mostly rice. Yuk ga jang (soup) is very tasty if you like very spicy..one of my favorites! It has small amounts of tender beef, tofu, mushrooms, a few glass noodles (not many noodles..you can just eat around them or possibly eat a couple).
Yum! Korean is one of my very, very favorites. :)
