Help with Vitamin Schedule & Order
I am starting my vitamins now and I have some samples from Celebrate. My doc sells Bariatric Advantage but a 90 day supply kit is $120! Celebrate is $108 + free shipping. I have tried the mandarin orange multi and I like it. I also tried a multi complete (has iron) in Forest Berry....not so much. My question is should I take the multi and iron seperately or just do the complete? The nurse told me what to take but didnt really tell me a schedule. How much iron is needed? I will be taking:
multivitamin 2 of them I think
calcium also 2
iron ???
b-12 1
Are some things better after food? Thanks for any enlightenment!

i'm currently taking the Bariatric Advantage. you can go online to see what amounts each one has....but here's what i do...
multi vitamin and calcium - early morning
calcium, b12, b complex, biotin - mid morning (calcium doses have to be at least 2 hrs apart)
multi vitamin and calcium - mid afternoon
iron - dinner time (don't take calcium and iron together)
sorry i don't have the breakdown as to how much is in each vitamin...i'm at work and don't have that with me.

Multivitamin and Vitamin D - first thing in the morning
Calcium - at least 2 hours later with breakfast
Calcium - with lunch
Calcium with dinner
Multivitamin at bedtime
Good luck! Talk to your MD if you need to know amounts!
I just checked... Celebrate Vitamins do not have iron in the mix, so you're free to take those with your calcium. Here's a sample schedule:
Breakfast -- multi-vitamin, calcium, B12
Lunch -- calcium
mid-afternoon (2 hours after lunch) -- iron
Dinner -- calcium
Bedtime -- multi-vitamin, calcium
Calcium intake should be at 1500-2000mg per day. If you're at the 1500mg range, then you need 3 doses of 500mg each, if you're at 2000mg, then add the 4th dose at bedtime. All vitamins absorb better when taken with food with the exception of iron which likes an empty tummy.
