I heard one of the "plastic surgery barbie models" as you call them (LOL) tell a woman that the only way her PS scars would heal up to be nice thin white lines was if she got the (expensive) silicone sheets/strips to put over the incisions for several months. She (the barbie) was visibly annoyed when I showed the woman my brachioplasty scars and told her that I put nothing on them except my normal moisturizer (and that my panniculectomy scar was just as thin and white).
There is some pressure for people to have PS, I think... and to have that "perfect" thin new body, but I think that there are also many who, like me, just feel SO unhappy with the extra skin some places, that it's a matter of being able to be happy with your body rather than "succeeding".
Glad to know I'm not the only one who still has enormous boobs!
