50lbs gone and no one notices
I recently lost around 50lbs, and i tell people and there surprised. I feel great knowing i lost that much but when i hear people say they can't tell i lost any weight i'm like. wow, great.
has anyone else had this issue were you drop some weight and no one can tell?

one day at a time - this is enough. do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. life in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. happiness is a journey. - wordsworth
congrats on losing the 50.. I know it is not easy. I have lost 80..am wearing smaller clothes and I too have people tell me that they can not tell a difference... I have gone from a 4x to 1x and 26-28 to 20 and people say they can't tell....... I am not doing it for them, but for me so as long as I know, I am good with it.... You are doing great and I am happy for you...
I, too, would like to say congratulations on the 50 lbs.! I am close to 50 pounds lost, and no one notices anything but my face. Even then, the notices are few and far between. I have gone from a 4/5X to a 2X (my boobs are just huge and always were and always will be). I just want to scream, but I guess I am not doing this for them - I am doing it for me.
I agree that most people have no idea about weight and what it looks like. When I hear someone bad-mouthing an obviously extremely obese person, and they mention that they must weigh at least 200 pounds, I just shake my head. These are the same people that were shocked when I would tell them I weighed 350 pounds - "no way - you certainly don't look like you weigh more than 200-250!" I know that people carry their weight differently, but it just kills me how ignorant others can really be.
Just keep fighting the good fight. Way to go!

Most people don't want to say anything because if they do, it implies that they thought you were fat to begin with. They'd rather act surprised than make you feel bad.
So, consider it a compliment and just keep on losing till they can't do anything but notice!
Congrats on the weight loss so far and keep it up!
Whoop whoop!! (Goes the community siren!!)
Zing (goes the confetti!!)
Yahhhhooooo!! (Goes the Cowgirl!!)
C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S!!!! (Goes your friends on OH!!)
I am so happy for you!! I bet your feet, knees, hips, and back feel a lot better!! I'm so envious!!!
Fagettaboutit!! Who cares if they're rude enough to say they can't tell? I know, you do. But you can't let them rain on your long overdue parade. Just keep on trucking...we know you can get there. Don't let their insensitivity bring you down. You're doing great and you're almost there.
Just remember the little engine that could... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. But, now you know you can say... I know I can, I know I can, I know I can!!!

I have lost 23 pre-op. My surgery is this upcoming Wednesday and NONE of my co-workers have said anything. It's obvious I've dropped some weight, too . I think most people get weird about it. Nobody seems to want to discuss weight! It's kind of like going into the clothing store and the sales people ignore you, look right past us like we are invisible! It's easier to ignore I guess. You have lost a significant amount and of course it's noticeable. Keep on going, girl! Good luck!!!
I started out at 272 and when i got to around 225 everybody started to notice. I had lost all this weight and had not changed sizes in pants hardly at all. All of the sudden my pants were really big and I had to get new ones around Christmas. If you are still wearing loose clothes people are afraid to comment on your weight.
Like someone else said. People are uncomfortable saying something about other peoples weight when the lose.
Wierd, at my highest people would ask me when my baby was due, now that I am losing they don't say anything at all.
Go figure
