Miralax, Milk of Magnesium, Benefiber? Whats your opinion?

Let me know what you do and think??
Michelle
Before surgery I would have a bm twice a day. After surgery has been totally different. The first two weeks due to the liquid diet I had constant runs and thought on no am I going to have this forever. But once I went to soft foods it stopped and i was worried it had been a few days since I had a bm. I took miralax that first week and it helped. But then I realized that we are not eating like we use to and it is normal to have a bm every 3-4 days. My doctor told me to let my system run its course without taking anymore laxitives and he was right. I just dont go everyday anymore. Its more like every 3-4 days. Unless you are getting constipation pains I think you should eating foods that won't back you up as much and see how that goes...

I was more consti even before the surgery so this was a big concern for me. Now that I'm on miralax, I wonder if I should have been taking this miracle stuff all along.
Hope everything comes out ok.
