Want some this week... and apples are in season... anyone got a WLS one?  I CAN do sugar and make it MY way... BUT I know that's not necessarily a good thing..

Babygirl got her surgery March 3rd...     She's from 339 to 200 as of 6/14/2012.. SOO proud of my bigbabygirl

I use my regular recipe and just substiture 1/2 splenda & 1/2 sugar. It tastes fine to me. The topping isn't quite as crunchy, but it works.

1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup splenda
1 stick of butter (you do have to use real butter!)

Mix flour and sweetner, cut in butter. Topping will be crumbly.

5 large apples, peeled and sliced with cinnamon sprinkled on them to taste. (sometimes I pre-cook the apples a little)

place apples in baking dish, sprinkle topping over. Add more cinnamon. Bake
at 325 for about 45 minutes. You can brown the top for a couple of minutes if so desired.

A small serving of this is all I can handle because it is SWEET. But it satisfies the craving :)

Good luck.

I do baked apples instead.

1 apple sliced (peeled)

6 raisins
1 tbl splenda brown sugar blend
apple pie spices

Spray ramikin with butter spray, Mix apple slices, raisins, spices, and sugar blend together.  Put in ramikin.  Add a little (2 tbl) apple juice, orange juice or other liquid to ramikin.  Bake for around 30 minutes at 350 degrees F
