Yeah, it sucks. I don't know why they don't make more jeans with the larger waist person in mind. I mean, our money is as green as everyone elses!

I hate my big stomach and waistline. I could wear smaller jeans because my hips and thighs are not as big as my waist unfortunately and I know we are not alone in this! lol

I too liked www.roamans.com when I wore the larger sizes.  Also I know that www.newportnews.com  , www.spiegal.com, www.chadwicks.com and www.midnightvelvet.com used to have jeans in varying shapes and larger sizes.  You might also try www.notyourdaughtersjeans.com,  although they are kind of spendy and I don't know what size they go up to the fit is awesome.   Alloys used to have jeans that you could kind of customize, but I don't know their website or if they do that in plus sizes anymore.

Unfortunately (for all of us, even after we lose the weight) it really is just trial and error.  Thank God for companies that pay for return shipping!

Good luck in your search, and if you find anything, keep us posted.    =)

I like JAG jeans (NOT their Paley design though, which has a smaller waist).

JAG has many styles with a stretchy wide flat waistband. My waist is only 2 inches smaller than my hips, and they work for me. Zappos stocks them up to size 24.
