Too much carbs and fat. I had surgery March 1 and I can't have anything that has more than 10 g carbs, 5 g sugar, and 3 g fat per serving.

Your right, I had my surgery on March 8th barely 6 days ago. Im not saying Imma rush into eating the stuff, all I was asking if anyone has eaten the Pintos & Cheese from Taco Bell...
I hardly EVER went to eat out b4 and im not making a habit out of it now, so trust me, I rather make homemade food than fast food anyday, As my cooking seems to better anyways Hee Hee.. Have a good 1..

Sorry but I live an extremely busy life and there are sometimes if it were not for fast food I would never eat. That being said It is not the fast food resturant that made me fat it was the horrible food choices and too much of it. The was a time from taco bell I would eat a whole meal and add to it an extra taco or burrito. No telling how many calories I consumed at one time!!! Now I make smart choices anytime I go out to eat.
B****he carbs are complex carbs and you have to have some to function.

That's a LOT of fat!  (Personally, fat bothererd me much mroe than sugar early out.)

You would be much better off making your own: buy a can of fat free refried beans and add cheese (and RF sour cream or Greek yogurt if you want).

I eat a lot of beans anyway because I have a hard time tolerating meat.  If I am out and am in a pinch...I go for Pintos and Cheese.  I can't eat the whole thing...but it works for me.

I loved that.  Still do.  I never was a taco bell fan anyway except for the pintos and cheese.  I did eat it about 3 times a week.  Mostly because one bowl would last me for about 5-6 meals in the beginning!  I hate the red sauce tho - blech!

I lived off these on weekends between 2 and 3 months out.
My mom was in a nursing home and dying
I would go and spend the weekends with her and my sweet hubby would go out and get me Taco Bell pintos and cheese or a soft taco.  I would eat the pintos or eat the insides out of the taco.  THANK GOD for Taco Bell and protein shakes - my brother always teased that I was a very cheap date!!!

congrats on the surgery. I ate taco bell before surgery, but since surgery had no desire for them, I make my own beans in my crock pot that way i can control what i put in them. if you read the labels there is way too much salt in stuff. I love beans so i just put them on at nite with a piece of smoked turkey leg or wing and my no salt spices at nite and in the morning they are done, I have made all kinds of dry beans that way. also for my yogurt i get carb masters only sold at Kroger's, they have 12 grams of protein and only 3 grams of sugar. take care
