Just wanted to share...down 25 lbs and eating SOFT foods now...WOO HOO
Today was my 3 week post-op appt with my surgeon. I was down 25 lbs. WOW...I was excited about that. I feel great. I also transitioned to SOFT foods now after being on an all liquid diet since surgery on 3/2. The liquid diet wasn't so bad though, I finally got used to it, but I am excited to move on to "chewing" again !
Tonight I had some chopped up flaked tuna and low fat cottage cheese for dinner. I took the full 25 minutes to CHEW it well and swallow. I probably didn't eat as much as I should have...kinda scared still about over-doing it and taking 1 bite too many & getting sick but I know that I need to experience what being "full" feels like. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow. Looking forward to my first full day of getting in my 5-6 meals + liquids.
It's nice to be on the road to "getting healthy".

I am right where you are. Surgery was 3/1 and I am down 25 pounds since my weigh-in a few days before surgery. I have eaten tuna, chicken, hard boiled eggs, ground beef and turkey, cottage cheese, yogurt. The only thing I had a problem with was some deli turkey. It didn't come back up but I got the "foamies" everyone talks about.
Good luck. Hope we keep on losing....
