those with PCOS
I have PCOS and I don't think it's made any difference in my weight loss. I now get my period every month as well for about 4 days. The first few months after surgery it was long and very, very heavy with alot of cramping but that has stopped, they seem normal to me now and no really bad cramping anymore.
I have PCOS as well. I lost 100% EW in 9 months. I went from 234 to 125. I've been maintaining in the 125-130 range since then. I did lots of cardio workouts starting about a month after surgery (mainly I did the C25K program) I started biking, and walking a lot.

stubborn pcos weight gain, lack of fertility and basically PCOS in general was my main reason for having RNY at 21 years old. So far i'm 10 days out and have lost 25 pounds including the 7lbs i lost pre-op dieting. i think thats up to PAR! and i've already started spotting!(havent had a natural period in many months)
Well, I have never had the surgery without PCOS so I can't say for sure whether I am losing slower because I have it or not. But, I lost 50 pounds pre op so, I have lost 74 pounds in the past almost 8 months, which I still think is a pretty good speed of loss, but I do admit that some folks seem to lose faster and more consistently than I do.
I was told to expect slower loss because of the PCOS, and also because I did lose a significant amount before surgery. So, I just keep doing my best and trying not to play the blame game when things are not going my way! :D
