Am I doing okay?
I am three weeks out - here is what I had today...
6 oz Atkins choc shake with 2 T PB2
8 oz of cream of mushroom soup made with FF milk (I forgot I am only to have 6 oz and I had "issues") and 6 LF wheat crackers
2 oz meatloaf (homemade with lean ground beef, eggs, lipton onion soup and smashed LF wheat crackers) and about 1T of cheese potatoes.
Working on my liquids. I am pretty much on target with my plan except I have not had my 1-2 cups of skim milk yet.
comments?

My only comment is that perhaps you want to not do too many crackers.... optimize your weight loss, maximize your protein, and when taking in carbs make sure they are complex.....crackers, even if low fat, are a lot of simple carbs
I was on liquids for the first three weeks (including 2 oz liquid meals) adn purees for five weeks (2 oz)

Add some dry milk to: fat free milk when you drink it, to meatloaf when you bake it, to mashed potatoes, soups, pudding, yogurt, it will greatly increase your protein intake, and it doesn't change the taste or texture of what you're eating.
Your're doing pretty good, but try to add one more "meal" in each day, and lots and lots of water. :)

Are you not doing protein drinks? I have to have at least 50g of protein with 2 Nectar shakes a day and then three 4 tablespons meals (2 tbsp must be protein and the rest veg or fruit). I also get in 64oz of fluids. I have to be on top of it and the 15 vit pills I take a day. Pureed will have to be for 6 weeks and then off to real food I guess.
I'm on puree for 2 more weeks so I mush everything up real fine... I am pushing the line a bit but I have a very happy pouch. My program is very odd compared to what others seem to be on. Here's my plan:
Three meals a day... no snacks, etc. 2T-4oz as tolerated. 2 oz is to be protein.
2 cups skim milk per day
At least 48 oz. of liquid
If a sub a shake for a meal I am to have only 6oz.
I made the decision a week ago to add a 4th meal about an hour before bed and that stopped all my light-headedness. I have yet to excered 700 calories. I also noticed when I added Farina or the whole wheat low fat crackers a lot of my mental fog went away.
I think one thing I have found to be true... no one is the same and our bodies all of their own way of working/responding. What works for one may be a disaster for someone else. One thing I know about me is the more I can find ways to make the foods I love in a healthier way the happier I will be.
I need to up my protein through adding it to stuff but the thought just gags me.
None of my tastes have changed like so many say theirs does. I don't have to sip either. Go figure?
