ordering protein

I am getting ready to place an order for some supplies including protein powders. How come when I go to the manufacturerd site there's a 2lb for $39.99 and I can go to Amazon and it is only like $27.00? I always like to order everything I need from one spot. I hate having to order from a bunch of different places and get about 4 different shipping costs. Does anybody know why this is? I dont want to buy it from amazon and there be something weird about it.

if the oz or lbs are the same i would order from amazon(as long as amazon is the distributer). i order from amazon all the time infact i just ordered more protein powder from them. so as long as everything is the same( like 1 place had 2lbs of cytosport for 39.99 amazon had 2lbs for 30.00 i ordered from amazon)

yeah, its the same weight as it is on the individual site, I've never had any problem with amazon before but, i just didnt know why it would be sooo much cheaper! Thanks

Depending on the mfr, some do not prefer to ship onesie orders. Gotta hire a guy to ship one can of protein at a time? Or one guy to ship 12 pallets to Amazon?

That's the difference between wholesale and retail. So, Amazon buys a gazillion cases and Mfr. pays one guy about the same as processing a dozen individual orders.

Michelle, you are extactly right.  I've been in the logistics industry for over 20 years and that is exactly what happens.
