What if we don't get enough protein?

I slip vanilla protein into my coffee some mornings and I'm a big hot chocolate protein fan but I need to branch out and make it more interesting.  Wonder if I put Nectar pink grapefruit on my birthday list if anyone would buy it for me.    Also may consider the unflavored variety that cooks well and mix it in my beans or something?

I used to put unflavored in anything I could - chili, beans, I even made lasagna once and mixed it in the cheese mixture (and no, I don't eat pasta often, I was cooking for guests).

Try Nik's blog for all sorts of yummy hot drinks.

Thanks a bunch Kelly! At about 2 mos post op my surgeon told me to stop taking protein drinks since I couldnt find any I like and get from food. HOWEVER now I am almost 6 mos and my weight loss has slowed down alot and I have ALOT of these symptoms!!!! Two days ago after being on this website for a long period of time I went back to the store and bought another protein drink to try. My labs were good at 3 mos but I will be anxious to see what they will be in a couple of weeks....thanks Kelly!!!

It's normal for weight loss to slow down around six months, though you can still keep losing quite a lot for quite some time.  And it's fine to get your protein from food if you can get enough.  I couldn't get enough at six months out, though, but I  know some people do.  Hope your labs turn out good.
