I need suggestions... Starvation mode, nausea... I'm a mess
I'm 11 weeks post op (officially tomorrow). I have had increasing problems with nausea each and every time I eat/drink. I've been on soft solids for several weeks. I'm taking phenerghan, which has only minorly allowed me to drink/eat enough to stay out of the ER. I was able to drink/eat 30 ounces of liquid yesterday but sadly 11 grams of protein. Today isn't starting out much better. Seriously the smell of food/drinks makes me so stomach sick I can't do it.
I know because of this I've sent my body into starvation mode. How do I do more? How do I manage to eat/drink more?

Call your doc today. Something is not right if you've had that much nausea and it's getting worse.
Still got your gall bladder?
Ask for zofran or something else for nausea, too.
Try peppermint or ginger tea to drink.

With the exception of my appendix, I have had all disposible organs disposed off.... ovaries, uterus, gallbladder, tonsils, adnoid, and even a portion of my bowel.
I got the impression I was getting zofran tonight.
Yes Mary I'm 11 weeks post op of my revision. Such a wonderful tool the RNY. This is just a bump in the road, that one day I'll look back and say yup, it was a blip in the road.... Otherwise it's been an easy ride.
