Hi everyone...I have been doing pretty darn good with eating but all of a sudden for the past almost 5 days whenever I eat ANYTHING- even things ive eaten before- I get BAD nausea that lasts for like 30-45 minutes!  Its pure hell, moaning, laying down nausea.  Not all times are THAT bad but each time produces SOME nausea.  This SUCKS already and I dont wanna start regretting this...   What could it be?!?!?  I was doing good!  HELP

I would talk to your surgeon.  It may be nothing but it wouldn't hurt to check and see if it can be explained.  I had a similar issue with becoming intolerant to food that I had previously had no issues with after surgery.  I ended up with a dilation and it was like someone turned off a switch and I no longer had issues again.   Good luck!

Just nausea.  I did have a stricture.  It wasn't a bad one but enough to warrant a little dilation.  I had to have an EGD anyways because I was having a lot of abdominal pain too and while he was in there, he found that I needed to be dilated.  After I healed from the dilation everything was sooo much better.  I hope that maybe from another post I was reading that maybe you just need to up your water intake.  That would be easier to fix.  If it continues to be a problem, I wouldn't hesitate to ask your surgeon about it.  Don't suffer if it can be fixed.  Take care :)

The first sign of dehydration is nausea. It makes it hard for us to eat and drink - which is what we need. Check your water intake. The recommended 64 ounces per day weren't enough for me once I was back at work and more active. I had to up my intake to 86 ounces of water a day to feel good. If you have dehydration, pound down the water - twice your normal consumption for a couple days and see if you don't feel better. Your symptoms are classic dehydration. We dehydrate quickly - hence all post ops walking around with a bottle of water 24/7. Check with your doc and try more water.

I did contact my surgeon, they feel maybe eating/drinking too quick or too much.  She said slow it down and if it continues she will prescribe some anti nausea.  Im getting ready to eat dinner now- so we will see.  Maybe I AM eating too much...I dont *think* so though.  Its very small.  And some things cause worse nausea than others so IDK.  THANKS everyone...and I def do need to drink more.
