I am taking a chewable vit D3 along with my calcium 3 times a day. How many iu of vit D3 is recommended, we take each day, for a normal person who doesnt have a deficiency, to keep healthy?
I only strive to be, the kind of person my dogs think I am!

Of the choices we are given, it's no choice at all....

I love my dry Vit D. from Vitalady -- I was taking 100,000 IU per day to get my levels back up but now I am cutting back to 50,000.  Then once over 80 on my blood test I plan to take somewhere between 25,000 to 50,000 IU per day depending on what my labs say.  YMMV.

It really all depends on what your labs are.  My D level is around 80 and I take 6,000 IU's per day.

for someone without RNY, about 2000 IU a day.

for someone with RNY, that has a good level - meaning at least 80 - anywhere from 10,000 to 25,000.
