OMG I think I'm dying!

I suddenly have SEVERE pain in my chest/upper ab area... I am thinking maybe food got stuck but I am super careful! I was chewing some nuts and all I can think of is that maybe one went down without being properly chewed. What do I do to get this pain to stop?! I've walked around, I've done yoga poses hoping it was gas... I don't have papaya enzyme nor do I have tenderizer. HELP! Any other suggestions as to what is going on and how to fix it??

Could try drinking something warm to smooth it down.  IF it doesn't stop, you might want to give the DR a call.

Meat tenderizer (papaya enzymes) won't do anything for nuts

In that position, if I was pretty sure it was the food, I'd stick my finger down my throat.

If that didn't work, and the pain persisted I'd call my surgeon

I've heard hot tea helps, or even more food to "pu**** through" (though I worry about stretched stomas"

I would give ANYTHING to induce vomitting but I am only 2 weeks out from hysterectomy/reconstruction surgery. I am SO scared that I will do major damage by vomitting.

My experience with vomiting post WLS is that it is always pretty non-violent

But of course you do what you should.... but if you are two weeks post ANY surgery, give THAT surgeon's office a call!

he's a gynocologist... I'm not too sure he knows much about this sort of thing.

But if you have just had surgery, and are in pain bad enough to think you need to go to the ER, he's your first person to speak with..... seriously.... that's the first person to talk with, if he thinks it is nothing to do with your recent surgery, he can tell you that, and whether you should go see the ER

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I'VE SEEN THIS ABOUT THE MEAT TENDERIZER. CAN SOMEOME TELL ME WHAT THIS DOES? I'M STILL IN PRE PHASE AND TAKING NOTES.

Some people don't chew very well, even when they think they have, and if they swallow meat, in larger chunks than their stoma (the gateway from pouch to intestine) then they can experience a lot of pain as everything backs up..... some will take a meat tenderizer or papaya enzymes so that the meat will get more fully digested/softer, and pass through into the intestine, relieving the blockage.
