Just wondering, how far out before you don't have to worry about having a stricture?

I had one 2 weeks out and only 1 stretch, but others on here have had more.

Lots of good information.  But remember, not everyone is the same.  There are some people that never have this problem.

If you're concerned about stricture, ask your surgeon the rate of stricture he sees with his patients.  My surgeon said that he used a "hand stitch" method (not staples) and only had a 1% rate.

I understand what a stricture is and that not all people get them.  I'm wanting to know if this just happens within a few weeks, months of surgery or can it happen later in years?   When can a person stop worrying about getting one?
