Hi, I had surgery on Monday april 4,2011.  The pain from the surgery has almost completly went away. I am though having a hard time having energy to do anything...just getting dressed wears me out. I try and watch tv or read the newspaper , but I cannot focus and concentrate on the subject at hand. HELP!! anyone else have this problem??

You just had MAJOR SURGERY..... your body is processing a lot of anaesthesia, and you aren't eating much..... it's natural to be very tired for the first few weeks, even up to six weeks. IT was FOUR MONTHS before I didn't have an afternoon nap.

Hang in there girl! I am almost 6 weeks out and I'm just barely getting my energy and concentration back.  You gotta remember that you just had major surgery and your body needs time to adjust.

It took me a while also. I took 5 weeks off work and when I went back I was very happy I took that long off.  I was when I started eating food that I felt like I go do more. I took naps everyday also.  Get all the protein you can and fluid.  That helps!
This is my new start for my new life!
