OH Conference

Has anyone ever attended one of these OH seminars that are coming up later this year? If you have, did you find the seminars helpful. My hubby and I are thinking about attending the one in NY, but we do live a good distance away and we would need to find a sitter for our daughter for the weekend. So we just need to make sure that it is worth all the planning that we would need to put into this.

I was just looking at this too and sent a message to come folks about trying to go.  The seminar topics look great!!  We are in PA about an hour from Philly so NYC is about 2 to 2.5 hours away.  I would like to hear how they are also! 

Did you husband have the surgery too? If not, I would leave him at home with the kid and you wouldn't have to pay for the babysitter!
I went to an OH conference in Washington when I was about 5 months post-op. I liked the samples, the talks, the clothing exchange (that wasn't an OH event..someone volunteered to do that), and meeting some people I knew from here.
I'm going again this year. I think it's a good thing to do.
It's nice to be immersed in that world.

Deb - My hubby did have the surgery also. He had his in Jan 2011 and I had mine in Feb 2011. If we would go to this event it would be both of us or neither of us. The event items look like they will be useful, but it is a fairly long trip for us to make so we just need to be sure it will be worth it. I wish they had one in Baltimore or DC, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. Thanks for your response.

Wow..both of you had surgery. I think that's cool and scary at the same time!
They have them in different places..they rotate around the country. I don't know why Seattle is getting another one after 2 years but I'm happy and excited about going.
